Sanctuary The Play
Profoundly affected by the 24-hour coverage of the conflict in Serbo-Croatia, Susanne felt compelled to bring attention to the plight of women during this horrific “Ethnic Cleansing,” and other brutal wars throughout our history.
A mother of two young children, she was inspired to do something to combat the sense of powerlessness of a suburban housewife in this time. This anger and frustration led her to create Sanctuary.
It has been performed at Off-Broadway at the Lion Theatre, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Times Square Festival, Philly Fringe Festival, and The Peace Center in Bucks County.
